Jackson Cooper Gango

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY - Co-Owner

Starting out in black and white photography on my grandfather's old film camera, I grew up wanting to be a photojournalist. At some point between deciding to study computer engineering or photography, I discovered the moving image and was more akin to what I was after as an artist. My love of atmosphere and lighting then followed during my years attending school in Chicago. I let my passion drive my experience to give directors and producers confidence that my interpretation of their vision exceeds their expectations.

Joe Scherrman

Co-Owner & Founder

Living just a few miles away from the Field of Dreams movie site gives me inspiration. I am passionate about creating chances to showcase all that Iowa landscapes, talented professionals and hardworking people can achieve.

So many opportunities I've been afforded, like being Executive Producer/Post-Production Supervisor of the award-winning Indie Sci-Fi Drama Black Web. I also am the Director/Producer of Ghost Player: Relive the Magic, an award-winning documentary film preserving the historical legacy of the Field of Dreams barnstormer baseball team. Both movies available on VoD.

With all this happening, I started DreamCatcher Productions (DCP). Great things keep on coming here in Iowa like our association with We Will be Back: The Lake Delhi Story and No Boundaries, two excellent feature length documentaries that are just starting their film festival journey.

My luck started years ago while working with relatives and friends at Scherrman's Incorporated, which includes retail outlets and service centers for farm implements. This family held company, for over 85 years, is where I developed a sense of humor and strong work ethic. Being involved in the daily management and board-level decision allowed me to generate a dynamic and pragmatic problem solving skillset. I told you I had a sense of humor! But seriously, I have been a lucky, passionate person wanting to give back through the art of story telling. Hope to collaborate with you soon!
